Saturday saw the latest qualifier for this year’s Golden Reel take place at Larford Lakes. Unfortunately, we don’t have much information about the match, but The Golden Reel Facebook page has confirmed the result.
The winner of the match was former two-time Golden Reel champion Stuart Fotheringham, who previously won the title in 2017 and 2021. According to the results posted on Facebook, Stuart won the match by less than 2lb. He weighed in at 203lb 10oz from peg 18 on Larford’s Match Lake. Second place, and a spot in the semi-final, went to Dale Haywood from peg 19 on Speci Lake with 201lb 14oz. The second semi-final spot went to Steve Rocke who finished in 6th on the day with 157lb 1oz from peg 10 on Speci. Fortunately for him, Lee Thornton in 3rd, Jamie Hughes in 4th, and lee Riley in 5th have already qualified for the semi-final from previous qualifiers.
