Andy May has become the eighth angler to qualify for this year’s big-money Golden Reel final. He qualified from Partridge Lakes in Warrington, winning the match by beating his pal Jamie Hughes by over 37lb who finished in second place.
He won the match from peg 155 on Covery 6, winning with a weight of 182lb 14oz. According to Andy on Facebook, he caught steadily throughout the match by fishing shallow, with a few bonus fish coming down the edge.
