On Wednesday, 27th May 2026, Springvale Fisheries hosted the latest FishOMania qualifier, where Sam Brown secured his place in this year’s Grand Final with an impressive winning performance.

With a full field in attendance, anglers were split on where they wanted to draw at the prolific Nottinghamshire venue. By the end of the match, however, it was Sam Brown who emerged on top to claim the coveted qualification spot. Drawn on peg 17 on Duchess Lake, Sam admitted he was not initially convinced by his draw. However, after feeding pellets at 14 metres, he found the lake’s resident carp willing to feed and steadily built a match-winning catch. His final weight of 265lb 6oz proved enough to secure victory and a place at Westwood Lakes in July.

Adam Richards finished in second place with 231lb from peg 22 on Gold Lake. He enjoyed a productive day’s fishing but could not quite match Sam’s impressive total. Third place went to one of the circuit’s most consistent performers, Andy Power, who weighed 199lb 5oz to complete the podium places.

Springvale Fisheries once again lived up to its reputation as one of the country’s premier commercial match venues. With numerous anglers capable of challenging for qualification, drawing well and making the most of opportunities proved crucial. Sam’s victory adds another strong competitor to the growing Grand Final field and continues a season that has already produced several high-quality performances across the qualifying circuit.

Fresh from another successful day at Springvale, the FishOMania roadshow moves on to Moorlands Farm, where the next qualifier will take place. With places in the Grand Final becoming increasingly valuable, anglers still chasing qualification will be eager to make their mark before opportunities begin to run out.
