On Saturday, 11th April 2026, the third FishOMania qualifier of the 2026 campaign was held at Hallcroft Fishery, where Jake Dye secured his place in this year’s Grand Final with a commanding performance.

Cold winds and falling temperatures made conditions difficult across the Nottinghamshire venue. As a result, bites were hard to come by for much of the field, but Jake found a way to stay ahead. Drawn on peg 9 on the outer Moat Pool, Jake produced the only three-figure weight of the day. His 154lb 2oz net of carp was enough to win comfortably, finishing more than 50lb clear of the chasing pack.

Fishing both pole and tip, the NuFish-backed angler built his catch steadily. He targeted carp into double figures, which proved crucial on a day where consistency was difficult to maintain. While many struggled to put a run of fish together, Jake’s measured approach allowed him to keep bites coming throughout the match.

Behind him, Ashley Linacre secured second place with 99lb 4oz of carp from peg 48 on Bridge Pool. Although a strong effort in the conditions, it was not enough to close the gap. Completing the top three was Will Sheppard, who weighed in 77lb from peg 14 on the inner Moat Pool. His mixed net of carp and skimmers rounded off the leading trio.
