Dale Shepherd has become the ninth finalist of this year’s Golden Reel final, after winning the latest qualifier at The Glebe in Leicester. The match saw 71 anglers compete for the chance to qualify for another big-money final. It was Shepherd’s day, however, as it topped the leaderboard by over 18lb at the all-out.
Dale Shepherd won the match from peg 90 on pool 6. He fed down the edge with plenty of maggots and finished the day on 235lb 10oz, to secure his third appearance in a Golden Reel final.
