Qualifier season is now in full swing. Last Saturday was the first chance for eager anglers to book their place in this year’s FishOMania Grand Final. The first Fisho qualifier of 2025 was held at Tunnel Barn Farm in Shrewley, where perennial finalist Andy Power secured another chance at the elusive title. The victory marked a perfect weekend for Andy, who also qualified for the Golden Reel final on Sunday.
According to the Angling Trust on Facebook, “The Power” qualified for his 10th FishOMania Grand Final from peg 19 on Extension. He won the match by just under 7lb with a mix of carp and F1s. Second place went to Luke Bamford from peg 13 on Club Pool with 147lb 15oz. Dale Shepherd rounded out the top three, finishing with 136lb 3oz from peg 25 on Extension.
Congratulations to Andy Power, the first confirmed competitor to join last year’s winner, Dave Shires, for the chance to win £50,000 and the FishOMania crown at Westwood Lakes in July. The full list of FishOMania 25 finalists is below:

The next qualifier takes place at Boldings Pools in Bridgnorth on Wednesday, 9th April.
This year’s FishOMania final is on Saturday, 19th July at Westwood Lakes in Boston. Spectator tickets are already available for purchase. Tickets cost £7.00 per person, while a group booking for 4 people costs £20.00. A service fee and £2.95 booking fee per order also apply. Car parking tickets are available for an additional fee when booking. Parking will cost £7.00 per car and £10.00 per van.
