Scottish angler James Woodrow has qualified for his first big-money final after winning today’s Golden Reel qualifier at Partridge Lakes. He won the match from peg 142 on Convey 6 with a weight of 148lb 6oz.
According to Woodrow on the Golden Reel Angling Facebook page, he caught fishing casters shallow down the track most of the day. Late in the match, he also caught down the edge with groundbait. It was a close finish, however, with runner-up Chris Weeder Jnr finishing under 4lb behind from peg 135 on Covey 6.
