Andy Power has secured his post in all three big-money finals following his victory at today’s The Golden Reel qualified at Larford Lakes. The result tops off a brilliant couple of weeks for “The Power” after qualifying for the FishOMania final from Monk Lakes on 22nd June and the Maver Match This final from Hayfield Lakes on 29th June.

Today’s Golden Reel final qualifications came from peg 13 on Lawford’s Speci Lake with an incredible weight of 304lb 2oz. His weight came from several tactics. Slapping on the pole early on, followed by spells of fishing on the deck and using the pellet waggler. The final 90 minutes of the match were spent fishing down the edge to help build his final weight.

It was a close affair, however, as Ray Lamb from peg 11 on the Speci Lake came in second with 300lb 12oz. Third place went to Jack O’Sullivan with 268lb 5oz from peg 20 on the Match Lake.

Congratulations to Andy Power who becomes the latest angler to qualify for the big-money final at Larford Lakes on 28th September. The full list of Golden Reel 24 finalists is below:
