The Maver Match This campaign continued on Saturday, 26th July at Hayfield Lakes, where Sam Slockett stormed to victory and secured his place in this year’s Grand Final.
Drawn on peg 33 on Adams Lake, Sam produced a dominant performance, amassing a superb 285lb 14oz. His match-winning catch fell to fishery pellets presented long on the deck, with a splash of Sonubaits‘ Absolute Fish Oil to give his bait an extra edge. Sam described it as “a ridiculous day’s fishing”, and the weight was enough to book his return ticket to the prestigious Maver Match This Final.
