Sunday, 8th June saw the 15th Golden Reel qualifier of the year unfold at Larford Lakes. The match rounded off a packed weekend of action following Saturday’s qualifier at Partridge Lakes. This time it was Jordan Holloway who came out on top, securing his spot in September’s Grand Final after a dominant display on the Match Lake.

Drawn on peg 4 on the grass bank, Jordan made the most of his unfancied draw. He chose a measured approach built around short pole tactics. Fishing casters short and switching to meat down the edge in the latter stages, he steadily built his weight throughout the day. His final total of 267lb 9oz was enough to take top honours and book his place in the big-money final at the same venue later this year.

Jordan later revealed his catch included around 120lb of F1s, 40lb of silvers, with the rest of his weight made up of Larford’s famous resident carp. The chasing pack wasn’t far behind, with several impressive weights posted across the Match and Specimen Lakes,

Josh Palmer finished in second place with an impressive 248lb 1oz from peg 29 on Match Burr, while Craig Edmunds claimed third with 216lb 3oz from peg 23 on the same lake. Just behind was Pete Upperton, who secured fourth spot with 212lb 6oz from peg 19. Brad Lucas took fifth with 194lb from peg 8 on the Specimen Lake, and rounding out the top six was Mark Malon, who recorded 172lb 2oz.

Despite strong performances, many of the top finishers have already qualified for the semi-finals. That meant Craig Edmunds and Mark Malon were next in line and have now earned semi-final spots.

Congratulations to Jordan Holloway, who will return to Larford Lakes for September’s Grand Final. Below is the complete list of the 15 anglers who have qualified for this year’s Golden Reel Grand Final so far:
