Partridge Lakes Fishery hosted Saturday’s Golden Reel Championship qualifier on 9th August 2025, with Covey 1 to 4 providing the battleground for another competitive contest.
At the end of the match, it was Howard Kelly who came out on top. He took the overall victory from peg 81 on Covey 4 with 86lb 5oz. His performance booked him a place in the 2025 Grand Final.
Second place went to Neil Machin on Covey 1, peg 4, with 81lb 3oz, while Rhys Williams completed the top three from peg 87 on Covey 4 with 79lb 5oz. Close behind was Gary Ainscough in fourth, weighing 77lb 15oz from peg 15 on Covey 1.
