Late last year, it was revealed that Middy had changed hands and was now under the ownership of Craig Kent of Woodlands Tackle and Lakes in Thirsk. The occasional update was posted on the Middy Facebook page in the following months, with the promise that the new owners were working hard to bring products to tackle stops.
The first new item was revealed in April when the company started selling the new Middy Hardcase Pole Protectors in the shop at Thirsk and on their Facebook page. We’ve also seen a few tackle shops advertising small quantities of Middy Tackle had been received. These deliveries mainly consisted of existing products from before the takeover, along with the new pole hard cases and Middy Ventz bait cases.
With promises on the water and due to arrive in June. With the end of the month fast approaching, the company has yet to launch its new website but has been busy recruiting several sponsored anglers to help promote the new products.
Earlier this week, Middy revealed that the new Middy Space Saver Keepnets are set to arrive on 8th July and will be available in stockists shortly afterwards. The keepnets will be available to purchase as a set of three and will be priced at £99. Unfortunately, the announcement didn’t reveal how long the keepnets are.
This commercial Keepnet set, comes with THREE super strong but extremely light nets as a complete package.
Designed with modern day commercial fishing in mind, these Space Saver Nets have a seriously robust hardened steel thread, giving you the confidence you need on those red letter days.
A fully adjustable hard ridged plastic attachment, ensures that these nets will not only fit all of the various Keepnet Bars on the market, but more importantly wont fail and will remain in place.
