The ninth FishOMania qualifier of 2024 was held on Saturday at The Glebe Fishery in Leicestershire. Thankfully, there was no controversy this time, as Kieran Marsden took the top spot with a weight of over 269lb. Congratulations on a well-deserved win.
Marsden, who last qualified for the final in 2021, won from peg 30 on Lake 1. He ended the match with an impressive weight of 269lb 7oz. With the temperatures soaring and carp cruising on the surface, he opted for a mixture of mugging and fishing in the margins. His weight total was made up of nothing but carp weighing 8lb or less. His nearest rival, Brad Lucas, finished the day on 256lb 11oz from peg 86 on Lake 6.

Marsden becomes the latest confirmed competitor in this year’s FishOMania final. He will be joined by last year’s winner, Matt Dawes, and previous qualifiers Jason Redgrave, Chris Reilly, Adam Playford, Harry Campbell, Gary Ainscough, Alex Dawson, Andy Bennett, and James Woodfine.
