The 13th to 17th of May marks the UK Anti-Doping Organisation’s “Clean Sport Week”. The annual awareness week’s theme for 2024 is the “Journey to the podium”. Despite angling not being a sport you’d associate with doping, the Angling Trust is celebrating the week by interviewing three of Angling’s biggest stars.

Alex Dawson from the Angling Trust Competitions gained insight into the dedication, hard work, and commitment needed to reach the summit of match fishing. He was joined by World Champion Tommy Pickering, triple Ladies National Champion Kayleigh Dowd, and 2023’s FishOMania winner Matt Dawes to share some of their favourite memories from fishing.

In the YouTube video below, the three stars reminisce on their first match win, their greatest achievements in match fishing, and why fishing clean from drugs is important.
