Angling Trust Cadet, Junior, and Youth National Championships 2025 Results

Last weekend, the Angling Trust Cadet, Junior, and Youth National Championships were hosted at Drennan Lindholme Leisure Lakes. On Saturday, 5th July, Cadets (ages 10 to 12) and Juniors (ages 13 to 15) competed, followed by the Youth category (ages 16 to 20) on Sunday, 6th July.

Cadet Nationals 2025

The Cadets fished a challenging match on Bonsai Lake. Team Rammy Red emerged champions with an excellent team score of just 10 points. Angling All-Stars Maver/Ringer Baits Academy took silver (14pts, higher aggregate weight), while Team Rammy White secured bronze (14pts).

Individually, Charlie Hutchinson (All-Stars Academy) won gold with 32-475 from peg 35, mainly catching F1s. Rammy Red teammates Louie Diggle (29-475) and Lucas Bland (27-775) took silver and bronze respectively, rounding off a successful day for Rammy.

Junior Nationals 2025

In the Junior category, anglers tackled the Loco, Benny’s, and Willows Lakes. Team Rammy Red continued their winning form, taking gold comfortably with 16 points, followed by Sensas Future Networks Juniors with silver (22pts), and Worksop DAA/North Notts Angling Juniors Red claiming bronze (30pts).

The individual honours were closely contested. Rocco Footitt from Angling All-Stars Maver/Ringer Baits Academy clinched gold from Benny’s peg 51, catching big F1s shallow for a total weight of 51-125. Reel Rod Squad Green’s LJ Stroud narrowly missed out, taking silver with 50-375 from Benny’s peg 28. Rammy’s Richie Jarvis took bronze from Loco peg 26, weighing in 47-275.

Youth Nationals 2025

On Sunday, 30th June, the Youth Nationals concluded the championships. Sensas Future Networks Black retained their crown, winning their second consecutive title with 19 points, eight points clear of Team Rammy White (27pts). Worksop DAA rounded out the podium with bronze (29pts).

Individual gold again went to Harry Michael of Sensas Future Networks Black, repeating his success from last year. Drawing peg 19 on Laurels Lake, Harry expertly targeted island willow trees using overshotted methods and caster bait, landing a substantial 91-500 net of F1s and carp. This earned him a coveted place at this year’s FishOMania Grand Final due to achieving the highest weight of the weekend.

His teammate, Hyrum Wilsher, took silver from Laurels Lake peg 31, recording 70-300. Oli Robinson of Team Rammy Red secured bronze with 65-475 from Bonsai Lake peg 80.
