Garbolino UK has announced the signing of Dave Shires, the current 2024 FishOMania Champion, to their team. Shires expressed enthusiasm about joining the renowned tackle brand, citing their 80-year history of producing iconic equipment. He believes the partnership will help advance his angling career.

Darren Cox, Garbolino UK’s boss, welcomed Shires to the team. He highlighted his recent FishOMania victory and praised his quality as an angler. Cox emphasized that Shires’ addition would strengthen the company’s commercial fishing division.
It’s fantastic to get Dave on board, he will add even more strength to the Commercial fishing side of the business. He has already proved his quality in winning the prestigious ‘Fisho’ title, he is also a great guy who has the right temperament and attitude to win as well as contribute to the brand.
The signing of Dave Shires follows his victory at the 2024 FishOMania Grand Final at Westwood Lakes in Boston, Lincolnshire, where he secured the title with a final weight of 45.150 kg. The competition was closely contested, with Shires clinching the win by a narrow margin of just under 2kg ahead of the runner-up Kieran Marsden.
