Excitement is building for the Angling Trust Anglers With Disabilities World Champs team as Dragon Energy Drinks and Ringer Baits have announced their support for John Weeden’s squad.

The team, set to compete at Bulgaria’s Plovdiv rowing course next week, has received a £1,000 donation from Ringer Baits, along with a van, clothing, and thousands of drinks from Kingsley Beverages, the owners of Dragon Energy.

Ringer Baits MD Phil Ringer had this to say:

We are proud to support the England Anglers With Disabilities team in their quest for gold in Bulgaria. The team currently self-funds, which is disappointing in any sport. We eagerly joined forces with Dragon Energy to assist and strengthen their association with match fishing.

Team Manager John Weeden expressed his gratitude for the donation:

A massive thank you to Phil Ringer and Chris Bradshaw at Kingsley. Every bit helps, and not having to worry about money allows us to focus fully on fishing and winning gold. The drinks will be especially useful in the expected hot weather.
