Last month, First Time Fishing and Gortini announced they have teamed up to develop a new pole float specifically aimed at F1 fishing. The result is the Gortini FTF1 which they’ve described as the “ultimate weapon” to highlight shy and sensitive F1 bites.

Following the popularity of the announcement, many have been eagerly awaiting a launch date for the new floats. Fortunately, we have an update as Gortini has revealed that the FTF1 pole floats will be available to purchase on Monday, 15th July.

If you are looking forward to buying some of the new FTF1 floats, keep your eyes on the Gortini Facebook page, Gortini website or the Gortini eBay page on Monday for the links to place your order.

Gortini FTF1 Features

The FTF1 pole float features half-hollow tips for improved sensitivity and a carefully shaped chianti-style body for optimal performance. Additionally, the float’s main body has a unique ‘mud-coloured sugar coating,’ which helps it blend into the water and stay inconspicuous to fish. They are supplied with a super durable carbon stem and will be available in 01, 0.2, 0.3, and 0.45g.

First Time Fishing creator, Big Bird, had this to say about the motivation behind the Gortini FTF1.

At First Time Fishing, we aim to provide anglers with firsthand information to save time on testing new tackle. Team First Time Fishing competes in many National Matches across the country, and like any angler, we look for an edge. We’re fortunate to work with top manufacturers to create tackle that meets the needs of anglers. This float is no exception. For those who fish for F1’s regularly, this float offers the confidence, durability, and performance needed for efficient fishing. We’re very pleased with the outcome.
