The second FishOMania qualifier of 2025 was held yesterday at Boldings Pools in Bridgnorth, Shropshire. With the previous week seeing much warmer weather, it was no surprise that there were plenty of bites for everyone fishing. At the all-out, Guru-sponsored James Howarth did enough to secure another FishOMania Grand Final appearance.
James won the match from peg 4 on Larch with a finishing weight of 130lb 4oz. According to the match report from the Angling Trust Competitions Facebook, he caught most of his weight fishing with casters shallow. He also caught several carp fishing down the edge with pellets. Second place went to Gareth Emlyn with 115lb 13oz from peg 28 on Chestnut. Des Shipp finished third with 93lb 7oz from peg 1 on Acorn.

The next qualifier takes place at Westwood Lakes in Boston on Saturday, 19th April.
This year’s FishOMania final is on Saturday, 19th July at Westwood Lakes in Boston. Spectator tickets are already available for purchase. Tickets cost £7.00 per person, while a group booking for 4 people costs £20.00. A service fee and £2.95 booking fee per order also apply. Car parking tickets are available for an additional fee when booking. Parking will cost £7.00 per car and £10.00 per van.
