Young anglers from across the country are being invited to apply for one of match fishing’s most exciting junior events. Entries for the UK Junior Championships 2025 as entries officially open.
The UK Junior Championships 2025 will be held on 28th July at Lindholme Lakes. It’s open to 18 juniors under the age of 18, who will fish alongside some of the biggest names in the sport. There’s over £3,000 in prizes up for grabs, including section wins and bonus spot prizes. Every entrant will also receive a free morning coaching session before the afternoon match begins. It’s not just a competition — it’s a full day of learning, competing, and making memories.
Coaching from Matrix, Preston, and Sonubaits Anglers
This year’s event will once again be supported by top consultants from Matrix, Preston Innovations, and Sonubaits. These well-known names in the match scene will provide invaluable guidance throughout the day, sharing tips and tactics that have helped them succeed at the highest level.
The format remains the same as previous years, with 18 juniors fishing under the guidance of 18 experienced consultants. The morning session focuses on tuition, with hands-on coaching to help improve key techniques and build confidence on the bank. In the afternoon, the real test begins as juniors put their skills into practice during a match on Lindholme’s prolific lakes.
Last year’s participants said it was a brilliant event that gave them a real chance to shine. You get expert advice in the morning, and then it’s down to you in the match.
How to Enter
To apply, juniors must send an angling CV along with a short cover letter explaining a bit about themselves and their passion for fishing. Entries should be emailed to [email protected] before the closing date of 6th June 2025.
To give yourself the best chance of selection, make sure your angling CV includes recent results, favourite venues, and any standout catches. Only entries received before the deadline will be considered. Successful applicants will be notified within 10 days of the closing date. A consent form must then be completed and returned by the date provided to confirm the place.
📌 Important: All juniors must re-apply for 2025 – even if they fished in last year’s event. There are no automatic places carried over from 2024.
