Hayfield Lakes hosted the final Golden Reel qualifier of 2025 on Sunday, 31st August, where a strong field of 54 anglers competed across Adams and Island Lakes. At the end of five hours it was Steven Roe who secured the last Grand Final place of the season.
Drawn on Island peg 39, Steven made the most of a coveted flyer to finish with 176lb. His winning approach began with a jigger set-up, producing four carp in the first hour, before a switch to his long edge line delivered a steady run of fish to the scales.
Runner-up on the day was Callum Dicks, who weighed 147lb 10oz from Island peg 61. Just behind, Matty Dawes claimed third with 140lb 14oz from peg 33, while Chris Riley finished fourth on peg 69 with 126lb 15oz. Completing the top five was recent FishOMania champion Brad Lucas, who recorded 116lb 8oz from peg 47.
