The 23rd Maver Match This Grand Finalist has been confirmed. Daiwa consultant Tom Edwards claimedvictory at the Tunnel Barn Farm qualifier on Saturday, 9th August. His victory came from House Pool, earning him a place in one of match fishing’s biggest finals.
Tom won the match from favroued peg 6 on House Pool with 160lb 12oz. The win came after Edwards finished fifth overall in the 2025 Daiwa Pole Fishing Masters, also fished at Tunnel Barn Farm. That three-day event in June provided valuable experience on the Warwickshire venue, and returning to House Pool clearly paid off as he booked his ticket for one of match fishing’s most prestigious finals.
Congratulations to Tom Edwards who joins an already impressive Grand Final line-up that includes former champions and a host of top competition regulars. With only a two qualifiers remaining, the battle for the final spots is set to intensify as the countdown to the Grand Final continues.
