On Wednesday, 22nd April, Tunnel Barn Farm hosted the latest FishOMania qualifier of the season, where Chris Reilly secured his place in this year’s Grand Final with a commanding victory.
Competing on the venue’s Top Pool, Chris produced the standout performance of the day to finish more than 33lb clear of his nearest rival. His winning weight of 153lb 8oz came from peg 13 and consisted of carp, F1s and silverfish caught on pole using maggot and pellet.
Matt Pillay finished in second place with 119lb from peg 5 on Canal Pool. He also caught a mixed net of carp and F1s but was unable to match Chris’s impressive total. Third place went to Greg Welsby, who weighed 113lb 12oz from peg 21 on Club Pool to complete the podium places.

Tunnel Barn Farm has produced many memorable FishOMania qualifiers over the years and remains one of the most popular stops on the qualifying circuit. While anglers often focus on the venue’s more fancied lakes, Chris demonstrated that Top Pool can still produce a winning weight when conditions fall right.
His victory earns him a coveted place in the FishOMania Grand Final at Westwood Lakes, where he will join an increasingly strong field chasing the sport’s biggest title.
