The ninth qualifying match for this year’s Maver Match This competition was held at Partridge Lakes in Warrington yesterday. The winner on this occasion was Wayne Kearney, who has cemented his place in the Maver Match This final at Hayfield Lakes on 31st August.
82 anglers fished the qualifier at Partridge Lakes, held on Covey 1 through 6 and Willow. Kearney won the match from peg 96 on Covey 4 with a total weight of 133lb 7oz.
The remaining framers were Kristian Jones from peg 8 on Cover 1 with 120lb 14oz. Lee Riley from peg 18 on Willow with 115lb 2oz. Ste Openshaw from peg 16 on Covey 6 with 111lb 1oz. Andy May from peg 100 on Covey 4 with 107lb 5oz.
