Saturday, 13th September 2025 at Forest Lane Fisheries provided the stage for the Fish North Final. The day saw 15 tanglers battle for the £12,000 top prize. At the end of a hard-fought day, it was Preston Innovations star Andy Power who came out on top. His victory claiming the coveted title of Fish North Champion and the cash prize.

Andy, making his first appearance at the North Yorkshire venue, showed trademark composure and adaptability across the match. After a quiet opening spell, he found success fishing meat short. The change saw runs of carp during the middle hours of the match prove decisive. Although there were dry periods, his bursts of fish were enough to edge clear of the field and secure another major title for his growing collection.

The result continues Power’s remarkable record in big-money finals, adding Fish North to an already glittering CV. Speaking after the match, he confirmed the £12,000 first prize will go towards a new van.

Behind Power, Danny Nicklas finished runner-up to collect £2,000, while multiple major finalist Andy Bennett secured third place and £1,000. The 2025 final once again highlighted the strength of northern match fishing, with a strong line-up that included past champions and rising stars such as Jamie Hughes, Brad Lucas, and Emily Mather.
