Saturday saw the third FishOMania qualifier of the year take place at Westwood Lakes in Boston. The match was held over three lakes: Skylark, Swallow and Falcon. The victory went to 2022’s Fisho winner, Kristian Jones, who won the qualifier by over 18lb.
Kristian won the match from peg 17 on Skylark with 159lb 4oz. In his Facebook post following the match, he said he wasn’t convinced the peg would give him a chance of winning. Luckily for him, it turned out to be a good day. He fished at 14.5m across to the island using hard pellets to land approximately. 40 fish, the majority being carp. That was enough to secure the victory and a return to Westwood Lakes for July’s FishOMania Grand Final.
Second place went to Tom Edwards with 141lb 2oz from peg 25 on Falcon. Andy Bennett came in third place with 130lb 10oz from pge 14 on Skylark.
Congratulations to Kristian Jones, the third angler to join last year’s winner, Dave Shires, for the chance to win £50,000 and the FishOMania crown at Westwood Lakes in July. The full list of FishOMania 25 finalists is below:

The next qualifier is at Partridge Lakes in Warrington on Saturday, 26th April.
This year’s FishOMania final is on Saturday, 19th July at Westwood Lakes in Boston. Spectator tickets are already available for purchase. Tickets cost £7.00 per person, while a group booking for 4 people costs £20.00. A service fee and £2.95 booking fee per order also apply. Car parking tickets are available for an additional fee when booking. Parking will cost £7.00 per car and £10.00 per van.
