Wednesday, 24th April saw 100 anglers participate in the fifth FishOMania qualifiers of the year at Westwood Lakes in Boston. The winner of the match was Manchester-based angler, Gary Ainscough, who took the top spot with a weight of 115lb 3oz.
According to the Angling Trust on Facebook, Ainscough won the match by over 115lb, after drawing peg six on Swallow, one of the favoured pegs. Congratulations to Gary, who will be joining 2023’s FishOMania winner, Matt Dawes, and previous qualifiers Jason Redgrave, Chris Reilly, Adam Playford, and Harry Campbell. The final will also take place at Westwood Lakes, with the winner taking home a cheque for £50,000.
The next qualifying match is set to take place at Old Hough Fishery, on Saturday, 27th April.

This year’s FishOMania final is held on Saturday, 27th July at Westwood Lakes in Boston. If you want to attend this year’s FishOMani final as a spectator, you can buy tickets now. Tickets are priced at £7.00 per person, while a group booking of 4 people is priced at £20.00. A 10% service fee and £2.95 booking fee per order will also be charged. Car parking tickets can also be added for an additional fee at the time of booking (£7.00 per car and £10.00 per van).
