Feeder Masters has announced an all-new competition for 2026. The Bait-Tech Feeder Masters Team Classic, a knockout-style format designed to bring extra excitement to team feeder fishing.

After eight successful years running the Feeder Masters Super League, organisers have confirmed that the long-running series will now evolve into a new event. The Team Classic aims to keep things competitive, varied, and engaging for both anglers and spectators. Since its launch in 2016, the Super League has become one of the most respected team feeder events in the country, attracting top anglers from across the UK.

The new format promises a fresh challenge, taking place across four well-known venues that each present different tests. Each round begins from scratch, giving every team a fair chance to progress regardless of earlier results.

Knockout Format and Venues

The opening round will be staged at Ferry Meadows in Peterborough. An worthy venue known as one of the most iconic feeder venues in the country. A total of 30 teams will compete across two days, with 16 progressing to the next stage. From there, the action moves to Barston, a water renowned for its big-match atmosphere and consistent sport.

The surviving 12 teams will then face Rudyard Lake in Staffordshire, a natural and scenic venue that brings a very different challenge. Finally, the last eight teams will battle it out at Albans Lakes, where carp, catfish, and bream will all come into play across a two-day final to decide the first-ever champions.

The competition structure ensures that no single venue type dominates, rewarding all-round ability and team depth. It also adds tension to every stage, as the lowest-performing teams are eliminated after each round.

Format and Rules

Each round will feature four zones, with one angler from each team fishing per zone. Standard Feeder Masters rules will apply, with points awarded based on zone placings, one for a win, two for second, and so on. Once an angler fishes for a team, they cannot switch teams later in the season, although each team may use up to seven anglers throughout the competition.

Teams from the 2025 Super League final will automatically qualify for Round One and will be seeded across the two opening days. New teams can enter by commenting their team and captain names on the official Feeder Masters Facebook post. A live draw will take place on Tuesday, 2nd December 2025, to decide which day each team will compete.

Entry Fees and Prize Structure

The entry fee for Round One will be £200 per team, plus pools on the day. Subsequent rounds cost £100 per team, again with pools on the day. The final offers a £4,000 top prize, with payouts extending to fifth place, including £2,000 for second, £1,500 for third, £1,000 for fourth, and £500 for fifth.
