A brand-new international feeder fishing competition is coming to the UK this autumn. The Angling Trust has confirmed that the inaugural European Feeder Cup will take place at Barston Lakes from Wednesday, 15th to Monday, 20th October 2025.
Developed and organised by England international Lee Kerry, the event brings together ten elite teams for six days of high-level action. Seven invited nations will line up against three England squads. All matches will be fished under full FIPSed international feeder rules.
A New Era for Feeder Fishing
This is the first time an event of this kind has been hosted in England. The nations taking part include Ireland, Germany, Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Lithuania and Hungary. They will compete against three home sides. These include two teams from the Drennan Team England Feeder squad and one from the England Masters Feeder team.
England will be one of the favourites. They are the current World Feeder Champions, having won the 2025 title. Hungary and Ireland are also expected to perform strongly based on recent form.

Format and Rules
Fishing will follow established FIPS-ed international standards, including:
- Traditional feeder-only methods
- Minimum 50cm hooklengths
- Barbless hooks only (subject to random checks)
- Two keepnets per angler (carp and F1s in one, silverfish in the other)
- A 15-litre groundbait limit and 2.5 litres of live bait (including bloodworm and joker within set limits)
The event features two practice days followed by three five-hour match sessions, with teams of six anglers competing for the overall title.
A Vision Realised
The creation of this new event has been led by Lee Kerry, who sees the Cup as a vital addition to the international feeder calendar.
As feeder anglers, we’ve always looked for more opportunities to compete at this level,” Lee explained. “We’re proud and privileged to host the first ever European Feeder Cup in England.
His vision is shared by Steve Fitzpatrick, Head of Competitions at the Angling Trust, who hopes the event marks the start of something much bigger.
We’ve seen the World Feeder Championships grow year by year. This event could be the spark that brings more international feeder fishing back to UK venues.
