The fourth FishOMania qualifier of 2025 was held on Saturday at Partridge Lakes in Warrington. The match, held on Coveys 1-6, Spey, Willow and Piper, was another sell-out, with many eyes on the flyer pegs. George Reynolds made the most of drawing one of the best on the complex to secure his “dream” place in July’s FishOMania Grand Final.
George won the match from peg 105 on Covey 5 with 175lb 1oz, made up of carp and F1s. In his match report on Facebook, George revealed the tactics that brought him victory. He began the match fishing with meat short on the pole, but quickly adapted after spotting fish topping near the aerator. Switching to caster shallow brought a productive spell, and when that line slowed, he moved into the margins where a run of quality carp kept his tally climbing. A final hour return to the shallow caster line produced more F1s and sealed the win.

Second in the match went to Danny Keenan from the next peg, 103 on Covery 5. He finished with 155lb 2oz. Third place went to last year’s Grand Final runner-up Kieran Marsden, who ended the match with 146lb 2oz from peg 46 on Covey 2.
Congratulations to George Reynolds, who is the fourth angler to join last year’s winner, Dave Shires, for the chance to win £50,000 and the FishOMania crown at Westwood Lakes in July.

The next FishOMania qualifier heads to Old Hough Fishery in Middlewich on Saturday, 3rd May, where another stacked field will battle for the next place in the final.
This year’s FishOMania final is on Saturday, 19th July at Westwood Lakes in Boston. Spectator tickets are already available for purchase. Tickets cost £7.00 per person, while a group booking for 4 people costs £20.00. A service fee and £2.95 booking fee per order also apply. Car parking tickets are available for an additional fee when booking. Parking will cost £7.00 per car and £10.00 per van.
