A new behind-the-scenes film documenting Team England’s victory at the 2025 World Feeder Championships is now available to watch for free on the Drennan YouTube channel.
Narrated by five-time World Champion Alan Scotthorne, the hour-long feature follows the squad’s journey from their final training sessions on the River Trent to their gold medal performance in Lithuania. It includes exclusive footage, tactical insights, angler interviews and plenty of emotion from the bank. For fans of international match fishing, it offers a rare glimpse into life inside a world-class feeder team.
The event took place on the Skirvyte River over the weekend of 14th–15th June. England lined up against some of the sport’s top feeder nations, including Hungary, Czech Republic and hosts Lithuania. Conditions were tricky, with slow-flowing water and finicky fish testing both skill and patience.
Despite the challenge, England delivered. Under the guidance of manager Dean Barlow, the team fished with precision and consistency across both match days. The core squad of Steve Ringer, Lee Kerry, Will Freeman, Rob Wootton and Adam Wakelin worked hard for every point and were rewarded with a memorable team victory.
Importantly, the film also highlights the efforts of the support team. Assistant manager Graham West, reserve Tom Noton, and bank runners Scott Smith, Mac Stephens and Gareth Lambert all appear throughout. They share insight into their roles, from early-morning bait prep to bank running and tactical support. Their behind-the-scenes contributions played a vital part in England’s success.
