Scottish match angler Molly Quinn has announced a major step forward in her career after accepting a sponsorship with Matrix. The popular young angler shared the news on social media, saying she was “absolutely over the moon” to become part of such a strong line-up. She also thanked Matrix’s Marketing Manager, Craig Butterfield, for the opportunity.
Molly confirmed that her existing partnerships with Blake’s Baits and Leigh Tackle & Bait will remain in place. Her move to Matrix builds on what has already been a standout year, both on and off the bank.
Molly told us that she has already swapped her old seatbox for Matrix’s S36, and is excited to pick up her new Matrix XTR pole next month.
I already had a reasonable bit of Matrix gear. I’ve swapped my seatbox to the S36 and it’s absolutely brilliant. I’ll also be picking up an XTR 600 pole next month and can’t wait — I’ve heard amazing things about them.
After making the announcement, Molly took her new setup out for its first session at Drumtassie Coarse Fishery, enjoying a day catching small F1s despite the cool autumn weather.

The Matrix deal follows her earlier sponsorship with Blake’s Baits, announced earlier this year, which saw her representing the brand at local and regional matches while promoting its bait range through her social media channels. Since then, she has continued to post regular match updates, videos, and tackle insights that have helped her build a growing following among fellow anglers.
With her expanding list of sponsors and increasing visibility in the match scene, Molly looks set to continue her upward trajectory as one of Scotland’s brightest young anglers.
Matrix continues to strengthen its impressive roster of sponsored anglers, with names such as Kieran Marsden, and Jamie Hughes already flying the flag for the brand. Molly’s addition highlights Matrix’s ongoing commitment to supporting emerging talent across the UK match fishing scene.
